Randy
Glein
Mr. Glein joined SI Ventures in 2002 and has 17 years of
experience in venture capital investing and managing high-growth
technology enterprises. He previously led the venture capital
investing activities of Tribune Ventures, where he was a corporate
Vice President and member of the Management Forum of Tribune
Company. Prior to joining Tribune, Mr. Glein was a Principal/Senior
Associate with CID Equity Partners, a venture capital firm
wit $400 million under management. Previously, he was President
and COO of Screenz, a broadband Internet and computing services
business. Mr. Glein
also spent 7 years at GM Hughes Electronics, most recently
in a senior business development role with DIRECTV during
its startup and national expansion, and previously as Senior
Manager of Hughes New Ventures, the strategic investment unit
of Hughes Telecommunications and Space that funded startups
such as XM Radio, Motient, and Galaxy Latin America during
his tenure. He began his career in engineering positions with
Hughes and Martin Marietta. Mr. Glein holds an MBA from the
Anderson School of UCLA, an MSEE from the University of Southern
California, and a BSEE with High Honors from the University
of Florida. |
