Managing Directors

SI Ventures' team of managing directors and associates has more than 90 collective. Manny Fernandez, and John Halligan, have worked together for more than 13 years and are experienced business experts and entrepreneurs. Their expertise and insight into management, finance and software are an added value to portfolio companies. They provide strategic direction, operating advice and access to business contacts developed through years of operational experience. Each is actively involved with SI Ventures' portfolio companies.

John Halligan

Mr. Halligan co-founded SI Ventures in 1996 and has 34 years of experience in venture capital and senior financial and operating management positions. He was previously Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, andTreasurer of Gartner where he led the company's IPO in 1994 and completed more than 20 acquisitions during the 1990s. In addition, Mr. Halliganmanaged the financial and administrative functions of Garner during its tremendous growth from $40 million to $900 million in annual revenue during the 1990s. Prior to Gartner, he spent 22 years with General Electric Company in senior financial and operating positions, most recently as CFO/Staff Vice President of GE Communications and Services. Mr. Halligan was heavily involved in mergers, acquisitions, and division operations at both Garner and GE. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Providence College.
